Lamar R-1 updated quarantine regulations

November 13, 2020

On November 12, Missouri Governor Parsons announced a modification in the Missouri guidelines for the quarantine of close contacts to positive COVID-19 cases. At this point, the Lamar R-1 leadership is in communication with the local health department to review their current response plan, as well as data from recent weeks in order to best proceed.

Lamar R-1 continues to examine the effectiveness of their current practices, as well as research the implementation of additional procedures to keep students and staff safe. Students and staff are still recommended to wear masks when social distancing is not possible. Additional preventative measures include hand sanitizer stations, classroom barriers, frequent hand washing, sanitizing surfaces and social distancing.

As changes are made, updates will be posted to the Lamar R-I School District website.
