NEVADA, Mo.- Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, for Dustin Lee Conner, 48, Nevada, who died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Brian Bunton will officiate. Burial will be in Sheldon Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Lori, of almost 20 years; four daughters, Jordan Fasano and husband Mathew, Carthage, Hailey Bunton and husband Brian, Joplin, Erica Whitesell and husband Ace, Filley and Courtney Cooper and husband Tyler, El Dorado Springs; three sons, Robbie McCartney and wife Chelsey, Nevada, Jacob McCartney and wife Amber, Oronogo and Alex Conner, of the home; seven grandchildren, Reece (6), Mason (2), Charlotte (1), Aleah (5), Ava (3 months), Deric (1) and Bentlii (3); his mother, Roberta Bigelow, Sheldon; two siblings, Douglas Conner and wife Cindy, Liberty and Angela Blixt and husband Davis, Harrisonville; three step-siblings, Rebecca Jones, Lamar, Christy Love, Nevada and Ginger Beerbower, Fort Scott, Kan.; his parents-in-law, Terry and Kathy Fleener, Bronaugh; a sister-in-law, Keri Yount and husband Korey, Bronaugh; a brother-in-law, Jason Fleener and wife Pam, Moundville and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Conner and stepfather, Donald Bigelow.

Mr. Conner was born Dec. 29, 1971, at Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar, to Donnie and Roberta (Banes) Conner of Sheldon. He grew up in Sheldon and was a member of the Sheldon Methodist Church. He was a 1990 graduate of Sheldon High School. During his athletic career there he was a standout athlete in basketball, baseball and track.

After high school he attended Missouri Southern State University. He went on to work at Crane Plumbing for 14 years. He began his career at ADM in Deerfield, in 2007 as material handler and quickly moved up to superintendent over Load-out and Crush/Extraction and currently held the position of performance excellence practitioner out of Decatur, Ill.

He married the love of his life, Lori, on March 17, 2001. He spent the last 22 years of his life spending time with his wife and his seven children. He loved making big meals for his family, playing with his grandchildren, golfing, Chiefs football, Royals baseball and playing Kingsfield.
