Lamar High School students collected 1337 pounds of food for the Good Samaritan in Lamar for the month of November. Collected were 309 pounds of green beans, 136 pounds of corn, 133 pounds of canned beans, 182 pounds of soup and 134 pounds of peas and carrots, as well as tuna, fruit, tomato products, spaghetti and a variety of other foods. The drive was held before Thanksgiving, allowing Good Samaritan to distribute the food to Barton County residents before the holiday.
