SIDERA GARDNER

LOCKWOOD-Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Cemetery, north of Milford, for Sidera C. Gardner, 83, who died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood. Lonnie Pennell officiated.
Arrangements were under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Survivors include five children, Gayle Chestnut, Dewey, Ariz., Glenda Bigger, Palm Desert, Calif., Robert Boggess and Jamey Boggess, Discovery Bay, Calif. and Mike Boggess, Palm Springs, Calif.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Cecil Wallace and a sister, Cleo Westbay.
Mrs. Gardner was born Aug. 10, 1932, in Ridge Farm, Ill., to Glen and Ruby (Jeffers) Canady. She married James Boggess in 1948 and to that union five children were born. Her husband was a paving contractor and the entire family participated at times in the construction work. The children learned to drive paving equipment before they learned to drive a car. She also worked for Green Stamps in the redemption department. Her husband, James, died in 1986 and she married Darrell Ray Gardner on Dec. 1, 2001. They made their home in Golden City. He died on May 1, 2012.
Mrs. Gardner was a member of the Moose and Eagles lodges.
