LAMAR- A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at Newport Cemetery, for Juanita Faye Pennell, 75, Lamar, who died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Gideon's International in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie; three daughters, Sherry Brewer, Golden City, Vicky Jones, Golden City and Rebekah Biery, Hutchinson, Kan.; one sister, Carol Ramey and husband Jim, Parsons, Kan.; five grandchildren, Brandon Jones, Brittney Jones, Lena Brewer, Buddy Biery and Bella Biery and one great-grandson, Isaiah Cone.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lloyd Tolle; two sisters, Phyllis Barger and Connie Williams and a daughter, Debra Faye Pennell on December 18, 2002.
Mrs. Pennell was born Nov. 22, 1945, in El Dorado Springs, to Lloyd Conklin and Ethel Lucille (Teague) Tolle. She graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in the class of 1963 and on May 11, 1963, she married Lonnie Alvin Pennell at the Newport Baptist Church and together they raised four daughters.

Mrs. Pennell worked as a head cook for the Golden City Schools, had worked over 23 years at Golden City Meat Company and had been a housekeeper at Barton County Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, canning, gardening, hunting and fishing. She was a partner in ministry with her husband Lonnie and was very active in the Newport Baptist Church.
