Tornado safe room ready for use in Liberal

Photo courtesy of Willis Strong The Liberal R-II School District Community Tornado Safe Room is now completed and ready for use in time for the coming tornado season. The tornado safe room is not only for students and staff, but members of the community as well. It is located on the campus of Liberal Middle School/High School, at 205 N. Payne. All doors leading to the safe room will be open in the event of a tornado warning being issued for Barton County.
