New officers sworn in; department now fully staffed

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Irma Deleon was sworn in as a new officer for the Lamar Police Department. Deleon has served in several different capacities and with various law enforcement agencies prior to being hired. She is married to husband Jay and they have four children, Johnathan, Irma Linda, Jaylinn and Connor. Deleon has a strong desire to serve the community and always helps out whenever and wherever needed. Her badge was pinned on by her mother, Irma Santizo.
