The Lamar High School girls swim team was represented at the 2021 MSHSAA State Swim Championships by seniors Kaitlyn Davis and Meghan Watson. Both girls have qualified for the State contest every year of eligibility. With COVID restrictions, no spectators, including teammates and family members, were allowed inside the competition venue at St. Peter’s Rec-Plex. The State meet is traditionally a two-day format; however, this year it was reduced to one day of timed Finals. The number of qualifiers per event was also reduced from 32 to 24. Watson finished fourth in her Heat and 11th overall in the final rankings of the 100 yard butterfly, earning Honorable Mention All-State Honors. Davis took third in her Heat of the 100 yard freestyle, placing 22nd in the State.
