FLORENCE SMITH

LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Daniel Funeral Home for Florence Louise Smith, 72, Lamar, who died Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at her home. Burial will follow in Iantha Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Salvation Army, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two brothers and their wives, Isaac and Mary Smith, Lamar and Charles and Clara Smith, Sheldon; nephews, Christopher Smith, Matthew Smith, Kevin Smith and Scott Smith; one niece, Tabatha Smith Ngugi and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, John Smith of Kansas City.

Mrs. Smith was born Sept. 8, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo., to Isaac Newton Smith Sr. and Emma Louise (Huntoon) Smith. She attended school in Kansas City before moving to Lamar with her family. She enjoyed watching movies, especially westerns and Sci-Fi movies. She also liked to embroider.
