Lamar High School senior Case Tucker signed Wednesday afternoon, April 28, to play baseball at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin. A good size crowd of students, school personnel and family were on hand to witness the event. Case is the son of Jeff and Jenny Tucker and needless to say, both sets of parents were extremely happy that not only would their son be playing for a top notch program, but he would also be playing close enough to home where they could attend more games. Case has been pitching and playing shortstop during his career with the Lamar Tiger baseball team and while at Southern, he will be concentrating mainly on third base and the corner outfields. Case noted that all sports played at Lamar place a big emphasis on leadership and he believes that is what he will take with him to Southern. His career plan is to earn a degree in Business Finance.
