LAMAR- A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Living Word Church in Lamar for Victory Lee Clayton, 76, Lamar, who died Saturday, May 9, 2021.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Connie; his children, Kimberly Carnahan, Lamar, Curtis Clayton and wife Cherice, Lamar and Kevin Clayton and wife Brady, Oregon; his grandchildren, Shane Carnahan and wife Betty, Victoria Bergland and husband Ethan, Matt Clayton, Jennifer Logan and Abbey, Jessica Johnson, Joshua Clayton, Shawna Clayton and Cheyenne Clayton; his great-grandchildren, Ivan Bergland, Harlynn Bergland, Quinn Johnson, Skyler Deshazo, Joey Butler and Mikaylee Butler; a sister, Dollie Crandall, Vacaville, Calif. and a brother, Jim Clayton, Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Donnie Clayton, Jerry Clayton and Marjorie Groves and a son-in-law, Randy Carnahan.

Mr. Clayton was born May 7, 1945, in Stillwater, Okla., to Silas and Maudie (Huff) Clayton. He was a graduate of Vallejo High School in California. He married Connie Mott on July 24, 1965, in Modesto, Calif. They resided in several locations throughout California, especially northern California. He completed four years of carpentry school in Walnut Creek, Calif. and worked as a carpenter before becoming a pastor. Mr. Clayton served as pastor in Gridley, Calif. and Fairfield, Calif. for eight years and three years ago, he and his wife moved from Cathedral City, Calif. to Lamar, where he served as associate pastor of Living Word Church.

His passions in life included first, his love for Jesus Christ; second, his love for his wife and third, his children. Family was everything to him. He will be truly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
