SHELDON-Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Sheldon Cemetery for Larry J. Hale, 70, Sheldon, who died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Barton County Memorial Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Hale, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Sonia, Sheldon; two grandchildren, Kyra and Koby Hale, Sheldon; a sister, Jeanne Holden, Springfield and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Laney and Billie Ann Chancellor.

Mr. Hale was born March 11, 1945, in Nevada, Mo., to William J. and Anna Lee (Gunier) Hale. He graduated from Sheldon High School in 1963 and Southwest Missouri State University in 1967 with a degree in agriculture and a minor in science and history. He married Linda K. Cass on Aug. 4, 1966, in Lawson, and the couple resided in Sheldon where he was a real estate broker in four states, specializing in selling large farms and ranches. He was a cattle rancher for the pat 20 years and a cherished member of the Republican Inner Circle and Missouri Cattlemen's Association. He also enjoyed flying fixed wing aircraft and helicopters, horseback riding and spending time on the farm with his family.
