The Lamar Community Betterment recently presented a donation check in the amount of $1,000 to the Lamar High School Art Club. CB President Elaine Davis, right, presented the check to Candy Hill, LHS art teacher, left. The students have been planning an art mural project for some time and with COVID challenges, their funding was discontinued. The Lamar Community Betterment is proud to offer the 2021 Lamar Community Improvement grants to art students and volunteers that will be creating the art mural during the summer. The project will be on the Smalley office building, on the corner of 10th and Gulf, off the northwest side side of the square.
