DONALD D MCKIBBEN

LAMAR- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oakton United Methodist Church for Donald Dee McKibben, 82, Lamar, who died Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Via Christi Village, Pittsburg, Kan., following a short illness. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Oakton.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at Daniel Funeral Home.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Oak Grove Cemetery or Oakton United Methodist Church Building Fund, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma McKibben, Lamar; three children, Dean McKibben, Liberal, Donna McKibben, Lamar and Doug McKibben and wife Cathy, Lamar; his grandchildren, Caitlyn Brummett and husband Bryce, Mindenmines, Chad McKibben, Lamar and Chase McKibben, Lamar, and he was also blessed with a great-grandson, Mick Brummett.
He was preceded in death by an infant twin brother, Ronald Lee McKibben and infant brother, James Arnold McKibben.
Mr. McKibben was born June 23, 1938, in Lamar, to Dee and Margaret (Folkner) McKibben. He married Wilma Smith on June 11, 1961, in Nashville, Mo. Together they built their lives on the family farm and raised three children.
He was a 1956 graduate of Lamar High School and served his country as a member of the Missouri National Guard. He was a lifetime farmer and raised Polled Hereford cattle. He was a man of great faith and a member of the Oakton United Methodist Church. He was also a former member of the Barton County Extension Council and Missouri Farm Bureau.
He enjoyed church, attending cattle shows and sporting events of his children and grandchildren, Southern gospel music and his card party group.
