GOLDEN CITY- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar for Donna Kay Gastel, 69, Golden City, who died Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the IOOF Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons, Rick Gastel and wife Tammie, Lockwood, Brad Gastel and wife Amber, Dewey, Okla. and Brian Gastel, Carthage; grandchildren, Mason, Maddox, Reed, Layne, Kruz, Kase, Addison, Madelyn, Gracie and Kenidi; sisters, Jane Obert and husband Paul and Joyce Williams and husband Bruce; brothers, Johnnie Ross Casey Jr., Charles Casey and wife Elaine and John Wayne Casey and wife Crystal; sisters-in-law, Doris Little and husband Ray, Lamar, Janet Diggs and husband Steve, Lamar, Carol Gastel, Lamar, Ellen Gastel, Washington and Judy Gastel, Lamar; brothers-in-law, Kenny Gastel and wife Arvilla, Rock Island, Ill. and James Gastel and wife Jeannie, Jasper and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a beloved twin sister, Faye Fox.
Mrs. Gastel was born Feb. 19, 1952, to Johnnie R. and Charlene (Lester) Casey, at their home in Grays Point. She was a graduate of Miller High School.
She married the love of her life, Skeeter Gastel in Miami, Okla. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary on August 28. They moved to the Boston, Mo. area for a couple of years before buying their home in Golden City, where she and her husband spent the rest of their lives loving and raising their family.
She was a dedicated mom who put her family first. She had worked as a secretary and receptionist at Golden Business Forms for many years, until her retirement.
