Survivors include a daughter, Catherine “Katy” Corser and her grandson, Flex Corser, a five pound dog; her Aunt Dollie and many loving family members throughout Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Earl and Alberta Catherine Baston and an uncle, William Joseph Perry.

Graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, Mo., she went on to become an elementary school teacher, including teaching in the Bahamas. She later became a successful business owner.

She was an avid and talented gardener, photographer, poet, gracious host and life of the party. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter, chatting over coffee or a nice glass of scotch, running errands and traveling together. She also loved their dog Flex, who she referred to as her little buddy and who was always by her side.

She was a beautiful woman with a kind and generous heart. An inspiration to those who knew her and a role model to her daughter, she will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Her favorite quote to her daughter was “peaks and valleys”, referencing that often to comfort her during hard times.
