BETTY CARLENE PROBERT
GOLDEN CITY- Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the I.O.O.F. First Christian Church Cemetery, for Betty Carlene Probert, 88, Golden City, who died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Arrangements are under the direction of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
Friends and family are welcome to view and pay their respects at their convenience on Monday morning, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, at the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the I.O.O.F. First Christian Church Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, Jim Probert and wife Mary, Tom Probert and wife Ima Jean and Tim “Tiger” Probert and wife Sonnie; seven grandchildren, Kellen Probert and Rebecca Parrill, Kassidy Probert and wife Jenni, Trevor Probert, Broc Probert, Bryce Probert and wife Allison, Bailey Probert Besendorfer and Amanda Harris; a special granddaughter, Amy and nine great-grandchildren, Asher James, Blakely Kay, Gatlyn, Jaxon, Aidyn, Layton, Collin, Isabelle and Thomas James.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Probert and 29 brothers and sisters in law.
Mrs. Probert was born July 20, 1933, in Barry County, to Carl and Lois (Paugh) Lamberson. She was a graduate of Carthage High School. She married Marvin Wayne Probert on Jan. 12, 1952, in Carthage. She and her husband owned and operated Betty’s Dairy Dip for many years. She attended the Golden City Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed fishing and adored her dogs and loved spending time with her grandkids.
