DEBORAH JEAN PHILLIPS

LAMAR- Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Iantha Cemetery for Deborah Jean Phillips, 67, Lamar, who died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin.

Arrangements were under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Midwest Transplant, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Heather Dunlap and husband Troy, Joplin and Kelli Kluhsman, Lamar; six grandchildren, Ben Kluhsman and wife Regan, Grace Dunlap, Andrew Dunlap, Abigal Kluhsman, Adam Kluhsman and Ava Kluhsman; one great-grandchild, Dawson Kluhsman and three sisters, LeAnn Smith, Lamar, Penny Harmsen and husband John, Carthage and Crystal McGinnes, Nevada, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, William Lucas Phillips.

Mrs. Phillips was born Dec. 15, 1953, in Lamar, to Calvin Lee Davis and Shirley Jean Heerman. She graduated from Lamar High School in the class of 1972 and received her BSN from Pittsburg State University in 1983.

She worked as a registered nurse at Freeman Hospital and most recently at Nevada Regional Hospital.
