TIMOTHY HOWARD SMITH

MAUI, Hawaii- Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Friday at Barton City Cemetery in Liberal, Mo., for Timothy Howard Smith, 60, Maui, who died June 14, 2021, at Maui Memorial Hospital in Maui, HI after a brief illness. George Haag officiated.

Arrangements were under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, Mo.

Survivors include his father, Howard Smith, Lamar, Mo. a brother, Mike Smith and wife Beverly, Lamar, Mo.; a sister, Kim Smith, Springfield, Mo. and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Erma Lea Smith.

Mr. Smith was born Oct. 23, 1960, in Wichita, Kan. He was raised by his parents, Howard Monroe Smith and Erma Lea Smith. He attended Louisburg, Kan. High School and joined the National Guard in 1981. He was self-employed and worked as a landscaper.

He was baptized at Emmanuel Baptist Church by Pastor Combs in Overland Park, Kan. in 1970, when he was 10 years old.

He enjoyed any outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing. He had a large array of friends and never met a stranger. He was always quick to start a conversation with anyone willing to listen. He had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.
