LAMAR-Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home for Helen M. Davis, 95, Lamar, who died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at her home, following a lengthy illness. Burial was in St. James Cemetery.

Survivors include four children, W. Jeanne Davis, Duncanville, Texas, William Bill Davis and wife Darla, Lamar, Della Niehaus, Whiteland, Ind. and Marie Adkisson, Johnston, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orie Davis, on April 15, 1999; five brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Davis was born Dec. 25, 1919, in Corning, Iowa, to Marion Arthur Braun and Jesse Mabel Swain. She married Orie W. Davis on May 15, 1941, at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. In their retirement they moved to Lamar in 1979. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker, caring for her husband and her children. She was a member of the Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
