IANTHA-A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Iantha Cemetery for Kate J. Webb, 97, Iantha, who died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Lamar. Roger McKee will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home chapel.

Survivors include one son, Tom Webb and wife Shirley, Carthage; two granddaughters, Genny Welch and husband Rob, Carthage and Emily Allyn and husband Tim, Stillwell, Kan.; four great-grandchildren, Quentin Scott, Ashton Welch, Payton Welch and Zella Allyn; a brother, Bert and sisters, Sarah, Ruth, Ann and Dean.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dora Colleen and brothers and sisters, Mary, Martha, Jesse, John, Jack and Charlie.

Mrs. Webb was born March 23, 1918, in Alva, Okla., to Bert and Mary Potter. She attended Shiloh School. She had worked at a young age at McClanahans in Liberal, cooking and cleaning, which is where she met her husband. She was also a cook at Liberal schools and was a farmer's wife, helping with the cattle, chicken and milking of cows. She and her husband had moved to their farm in Iantha in the early 1950's.

She was an active member of the Iantha Methodist Church.

She married Oscar Webb on Feb. 26, 1938. He preceded her in death.
