THAD DENTON “TD” YOUNT

LIBERAL- A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Barton City Cemetery for Thad Denton Yount, 88, Liberal, who died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021.
Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.
The family suggest donations in lieu of flowers be made to Shriners of the Mirza Shrine of Pittsburg, Kan.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy; sons, Rick Yount, Randy Yount, Tim Yount and Mark Johnson; daughters, Diana Hines and Brenda Bartlett; son-in-law, Glen Christy; his grandchildren, Pammy Johnson, Trisha Taylor, Blair Johnson, Korey Yount, Eric Yount, Nico Yount, Cooter Yount, Trinnade Hughes, Tiberly Crockett and great-grandchildren, Dakota Lindsteadt, Colton Lindsteadt, Madalie Lindsteadt, Maci Yount, Hunter Yount, Trevor Yount, Carter Yount and Cody Hughes.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louetta Yount and daughter, Debbie Johnson.
Mr. Yount was born Nov. 30, 1932, near Verdella, to Jaxie and Linnie (Lively) Yount. He married Lou Shields and they remained married until her death in 1998. In May of 2001, he married Patsy Jones.
He was a member of the Hermon Lodge No. 187, A.F. and A.M., Eastern Star Chapter 456 of Jerico Springs, Shriner of the Mirza Shrine of Pittsburg, Kan. and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Valley of Joplin Orient since 1976.
He was a farmer and enjoyed everything farming, especially his cows. He worked for several years as a road maintainer for Barton City. He also worked at 3M in Nevada, Mo. for over 20 years and retired from there.
He enjoyed visiting and talking and will be missed by many family members and friends.
