Ashcroft visits library; presents check for summer reading program

Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft was at the Mary K. Finley Library on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 29, in order to present a check in the amount of $7,068, to go towards the summer reading program. A table laden with goodies was made available to those attending, which included employees, library board members and others. Head Librarian Carol Darrow, along with Youth Program Coordinator Heidi Lanz, took the opportunity to present what had been accomplished, not only through the funding, but other updates as well.
