LAMAR- A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at Oakton United Methodist Church, for Wanda Allen, 79, who died in her home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, David; sisters, Ethel Larson, Betty Myers and Rozetta Taylor, all of Carthage; sons, Paul Allen and wife Michelle, Lamar, Joseph Allen and wife Audi, Lamar, Philip Allen and wife Angela, Avilla, James Allen, Lamar and Timothey Allen and wife Pam, Lamar; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and three nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Allen was born Oct. 1, 1942, in Carthage, to Harvey and Emma (Ritchey) Cramer. She went to high school at Church of God Holiness School in Gravette, AR and then taught school for a few years. She married David Allen at her parents home south of Avilla on August 10, 1968. She was a homemaker who enjoyed collecting strawberry knickknacks, embroidery and loving her family.
