KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Final arrangements and graveside services are pending with Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar for Katherine Sue Dearing, 71, who died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021, at her home in Kansas City, Mo.

Ms. Dearing was born August 9, 1950, in Lamar, to Junior and Dorothy Dearing.

Survivors include her mother; a brother, Gene Dearing and wife Tina and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and a step-brother, Don Peterson.

She was a 1968 graduate of Lamar High School and graduated SMSU with the class of 1972. She served as a reference librarian with the Kansas City Public Library system for over 40 years before retiring.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, music and films, reading, cross stitching, stamp collecting and she loved her many cats. She was a member of the Lamar First Christian Church.
