COVID update

According to Barton County Health Department Administrator Joel Dermott, COVID numbers popped back up last week, with seven new cases being recorded in the past seven day. Dermott stated, “Our positivity rate is still below the state average, but it is a reminder that the virus is still with us and isn’t likely to go away in the near future”.
One more fatality was also released this past week, bringing the total number of deaths in Barton County to 29 since the beginning of the pandemic.
A total of 1531 cases have been reported in Barton County, with four active; 29 deaths and 1498 recovered. As stated above, there have been seven new cases in the past seven days.
A healthy Barton County requires great community news.
