NOTICE OF FILING FOR LIBERAL R-II BOARD OF EDUCATION

Qualified applicants for the Liberal R-II Board of Education may file for office beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 and will continue during the district’s regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Except for the first and last day of filing, filing will not occur on days that the school district’s central office is closed due to inclement weather or the Covid-19 pandemic. The Board of Education Office will also be closed during Christmas recess beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021. Filing will resume on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., which is the end of the filing period for the April 2022 Election.

Filings take place in the Liberal R-II Schools Board/Superintendent Office, Liberal, Missouri. Filing shall be done with Wendy Rose – Bookkeeper or William Harvey – Superintendent. The names of qualified candidates will be placed on the ballot in order of filing. Any questions regarding the qualifications of candidacy or how to submit candidacy information via certified mail should be directed to the Board/Superintendent Office. The terms of Bryce Barton and Tonya Suschnick will be expiring in April 2022. Two Board members will be elected.
