LOWELL STURGELL

LIBERAL-A private family service will be held at a later date for Lowell A. Akie Sturgell, 62, Liberal, who died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, at Barton County Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Survivors include three sons, Jeremy Sturgell and wife Mandy, Lamar, Michael Sturgell, Rogers, Ark. and Kevin Napier and wife Heidi, Portage, Ind.; two daughters, Lacie Howell and husband Allen, Republic and McKenna Sturgell, Ft. Scott, Kan.; seven grandchildren, Elissa, Kaelyn, Cameron, Carson, Kennedy, Ty and Riley; four brothers, Jim, Mike, Norman and Steven and three sisters, Louise, Brenda and Ann.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Barbara Sturgell and a brother, Melvin.

Mr. Sturgell was born June 29, 1953, in Moorehead, Ky. Until his ill health he was a tile setter by trade.
