LAMAR- Services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Daniel Funeral Home for Loren Wayne Duncan, 81, Lamar, who died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at his home in Lamar. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar.
The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Lamar Tigers Fishing Team, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include one son, Dennis Duncan and wife Heather, Lamar; three daughters, Lori Miller and husband Matt, Melissa McKarus and Renee Stephen and husband Vaughn, all of Lamar; eight grandchildren, Emmy Todd and husband Brett, Brenyn Jungmann and wife Kailey, Stuart McKarus, Rein Stephen and Lexy Stephen, Britni Eaves and husband Brandon, Brantly Duncan, Bayli Duncan and Bryli Duncan; five great-grandchildren, Case, Mattie and Navy Todd and Paityn and J.B. Eaves; five brothers, William Duncan and wife Brenda, Stockton, Danny Duncan and wife Edith, Jasper, D.D. Duncan and wife Lois, Don Duncan and wife Nancy and Tinker Duncan and wife Pat, all of Lamar; two sisters, Connie Duncan and Carolyn McManis and husband Bob, all of Lamar and three sister-in-laws, Dhea Cornell, Brenda Cornell and Brenda Rhine.
He was preceded in death by his wife; one brother, Ronald Duncan and two brother-in-laws, Artie Cornell and Harold Cornell.
Mr. Duncan was born August 29, 1940 in Golden City, to Loren William Duncan and Francis Leotta Mae (Hurrell) Duncan. He graduated from Golden City High School in the class of 1959. On November 19, 1965, he married Linda Kay Cornell in Golden City. She preceded him in death on February 4, 2013.
Mr. Duncan worked as a driver for Lamar Concrete, retiring after 34 years. He was known as "Speedy", because he could get the concrete in so fast and can get into hard places.
