LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Daniel Funeral Home for Doris Jean McBee, 89, Lamar, who died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at Oak Pointe Senior Living Community in Carthage. Burial will follow at Lake Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service time, beginning at 1 p.m.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Fair Haven Children's Home, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include three daughters, Karen (Jeff) Dimond and husband Jeff, Sharon Parker and husband Doug and Linda Claypool, all of Lamar; three sisters, Rose Mason, Bentonville, Ark., Peggy Bertschy, Gravette, Ark and Sonia Landagin, Bentonville, Ark.; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and two sisters.

Mrs. McBee was born May 28, 1932, in Swain, Ark., to Earl Sandlin and Stella (Thomas) Sandlin. She was a graduate of Gravette High School in Gravette, Ark. She married Bobbie Dale McBee on May 26, 1951, in Bentonville, Ark.

She took pride in being a homemaker, wife and mother. She had worked at Lily's Department Store and Snoopers and was a member of the Church of Christ in Lamar.
