When I write about the old men we called the front bench regulars in the pool hall, some people think I am making them up. I am not. I am trying to scrape up pictures of as many as I can. This photo was taken of Ol’ Bill Stalder in the early 1950’s. He was my grandfather’s trapping partner, a WW 1 veteran born in the 1890’s and a big influence in my boyhood. He and my grandfathers and men like them made me what I am today.
