LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home for Ravin Pennell, 37, Lamar, who died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

The family would appreciate donations in lieu of flowers be made to assist with the funeral expenses.

Survivors include her parents; a son, Zander Brayfield, Lamar; a brother, Patrick Pennell, Greenfield; her grandmother, Mary Ann Higgins, Lamar and granny, Sharon Brayfield, Lamar; an aunt, Linda Strong and husband John, Lamar; an uncle, Harry Pennell, Lamar and many cousins and other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Loyd Pennell and Harold Higgins and grandmothers, Betty Pennell and Martha Pennell.

Ms. Pennell was born Feb. 19, 1984, in Gravette, Ark., to Renee (Higgins) and Carl Pennell. She grew up and went to school in Greenfield until the family moved to Lamar. She graduated from Lamar High School in 2002. While attending Lamar High School she completed her CNA training with Lorraine Potter. She worked as a CNA at several area nursing homes including Truman Health and Rehab, St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Sarcoxie Nursing Center and Spring River Christian Village. She continued working until she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She was a loving woman who was always doing for others. She enjoyed going out to eat, going to the movies, and, as her mom lovingly said, “that girl could shop”.
