LAMAR- A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday at Daniel Funeral Home for Ella Louise Maggard, 86, Lamar, who died Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at Cox Barton County Hospital in Lamar.

Survivors include her husband, Joe; two sons, Tony Taylor and David Taylor and wife Donna and two daughters, Sharon Medlin and husband Roy Medlin Sr. and Dorothy Winningham and Larry Spencer, all of Lamar; eight grandchildren, Jackie, Melissa, Roy Jr., Tisha, Shane, Crystal, Travis and Chelsa; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; one brother, Ruben Mendenhall and wife Loretta, Concordia, Kan.and two sisters, Leila Kourlik, Wichita, Kan. and Charlotte Courtney and husband Earl, Lamar.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Taylor; one grandson, Christopher Taylor; two brothers and four sisters.

Mrs. Maggard was born Dec. 21, 1934, in Concordia, Kan., to Francis Mendenhall and Dorothy (Yoder) Mendenhall.

She married Joe Maggard on June 14, 1998, in Eureka Springs, Ark.

She worked as a machine operator at Thorco and also worked at Truman Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lamar.
