KEN PUCKETT

IRWIN-Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Konantz Warden Chapel in Lamar for Ken Puckett, 55, Irwin, who died Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at Barton County Memorial Hospital, following a sudden illness. Burial, with full military honors, was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Puckett, of the home; two sons, Brian and Brent Puckett, Lamar; a brother, Dave Puckett, El Dorado Springs and three sisters, Ramona Crockett, Lamar, Rita Yoast, Nevada and Gweneva Puckett, Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Puckett was born Jan. 1, 1950, in Columbus, Kan., to Johnnie and Elva Puckett. He was a 1968 graduate of Lamar High School. He was a Vietnam Army veteran and received a citation for his exceptional meritorious service.
He was employed as plant manager of El Dorado Chemical Company, where he had been employed since 1999. He had previously been an employee of O'Sullivan Industries for 23 years. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed having a vegetable garden and always shared with family and friends. He kept an immaculate lawn and was known to mow it twice a week.
He married Wilma Rogers on May 30, 1980.
