JESSE MASTERSON

LAMAR- Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lamar United Methodist Church for Jesse Albert Masterson, 73, Lamar, who died Monday, Jan. 31, 2002, at his home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; four sons, Rocky Higgins, Lamar, Tye Bell, Ft. Worth, Texas, Zach Masterson and wife Jill, Lockwood and Rowdy Masterson, Lamar; one daughter, Piper Masterson; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Terry Masterson and wife Angie, Lamar; one sister, Donna Ray, Harrisonville and his best friends, Terry Moore and Randy Plunkett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Melinda Richy; one sister, Delores Dawe and brother-in-laws, Don Dawe and Rick Pierson.
Mr. Masterson was born June 10, 1948, in Lamar, to Ray Allen Masterson and Fern Lucille Hannah. He was a 1966 graduate of Lamar High School. He married Sharon Kay Kentner on Oct. 25, 1980, in Lamar.
He worked as a driver for MFA in Golden City, Missouri, CFI/Glasstran in Joplin, Higgins Pallets in Lamar, owned and operated Masterson Seed and Grain and loved to race dirt cars. He was a member of the Lamar United Methodist Church, the Barton County Shrine Club and Lamar Masonic Lodge.
