February 07, 2022

According to Barton County Health Department Administrator Joel Dermott, although the weather may have brought everything else to a standstill last week, it didn’t have much impact on the virus. “We continue to see all metrics point in a positive direction”, said Dermott, adding, “The positive case line is showing a steep decline for the second straight week, which confirms that we have passed the peak point.”

As of now, a total of 2112 cases have been confirmed in Barton County, with 546 probable cases, 49 active, 38 confirmed deaths, eight probable deaths, 2563 recovered and a total of 74 new cases over the last seven days.
