EMILY SUE JETT

LAMAR- Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Lamar First Baptist Church for Emily Sue Jett, 90, Lamar, who died Friday, March 4, 2022, at Good Shepherd Community Care in Lockwood. Burial will follow in Lake Cemetery.
Viewing will be held prior to the service time, beginning at 10 a.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include one son, Joe Garrett, Springfield; one daughter, Constance Garrett, Atlanta, Ga. and one sister, Roberta “Bertie” Ann Wilton, Denver, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; one brother, Arthur Aton; two sisters, Margaret Nelson and Virginia Hall and one niece, Charlene Wilton.
Mrs. Jett was born March 19, 1931, in Dodge City, Kan., to Robert LeRoy Aton and Margaret Sue (Redman) Aton. She married Robert “Bob” Garrett on Nov. 16, 1951 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1998. She then married Herbert Glen Jett on June 5, 2003 and he preceded her in death on June 27, 2015.
Mrs. Jett worked as an executive secretary for Barton County State Bank and was a member of Lamar First Baptist Church.
