JANICE “JAN” LUCE

LAMAR- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Konantz Warden Funeral Home for Janice “Jan” Laraine Luce, 74, Lamar, who died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Survivors include one son, Toby Luce and wife Sherri, Lamar; a granddaughter, Katelyn LeAnn Gillis and husband Travis; a grandson, Brady Scott Luce; a sister-in-law, Kay Timmons and nephews, Tyler, Terin, Troy, Corey, Jake, Josh and Dusty Timmons and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack and both of her brothers, Tim and Stan Timmons.
Mrs. Luce was born July 26, 1947, in Lamar, to Elmer and Francis “Billie” (LeAn) Timmons. She was a graduate of Lamar High School and a lifetime resident. She married Jackie E. Luce on Dec. 21, 1979, in Miami, Okla.
She had worked for 29 years at O’Sullivan Industries and then Lamar Enterprises before retiring.
She enjoyed studying her Bible at home. She was an avid bowler, belonging to several bowling leagues. She was very supportive of the Lamar Tiger sports programs and loved watching her son coach and grandchildren compete. She was extremely proud of the work her son does as a police officer, protecting the community. She cherished the many friendships she had made over the years.
