LIBERAL-Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hannon Free Will Baptist Church in Liberal for Edith Elizabeth McAdams, 91, Liberal, who died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar. Bob Dickey will officiate. Burial will be in Barton City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m., at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Survivors include a son, Bobby McAdams, Liberal; a daughter, Linda Smith, Pleasant Hill; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, James Keith McAdams and Gene Peacock.

Mrs. McAdams was born Feb. 23, 1924, in Van, Ark., to Jasper Henry and Myrtle Beatrice (Shadwick) Fread. She attended grade school in a one room country schoolhouse and later graduated from St. Charles High School in St. Charles, Ark. She married James Terrall McAdams in DeWitt, Ark., on Nov. 22, 1947. He was in the U.S. Air Force, serving until 1968. They later settled in Grandview, where they resided until her husband's retirement, moving to Liberal 23 years ago. He died Aug. 22, 2004.
