WAYNE “BEAR” WINTER

JASPER- Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Paradise Cemetery for Wayne “Bear” Winter, 71, Jasper, who died Friday, March 11, 2022, at his home.

Masonic Rites will be conducted at 6 p.m. Wednesday, followed by visitation from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Weng Funeral Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Bear Winter Scholarship Fund, in care of the funeral chapel.

Survivors include two daughters, Kristy Winter and Terry Quarles, Webb City and Carrie Osiier, Jasper and three grandchildren, Kailyn Adams, Celia Osiier and Kellen Osiier.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Winter was born July 25, 1950, in Lamar, to George and Glenna (Gresham) Winter. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Carthage Masonic Lodge No. 197, Abou Ben Adhem Shrine, Carthage Shrine Burn Crew and the Barton County Shrine Club. He was a member of the Jasper Methodist Church.
