LAMAR- A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at Morehead Cemetery for Phyllis Joan Oglesby, 80, Lamar, who died at her home, surrounded by family on Monday, March 14, 2022, following a recent diagnosis of lung cancer.
Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Survivors include her sisters, Barbara Johnson, Broken Arrow, Okla. and Anna Puckett and husband Dave, El Dorado Springs; a brother, Ron White and wife Netta, Hawaii; daughters, Janelle Dimond, Shawnee, Kan. and Carmen Rutledge, Lamar; a son, Jeff Moritz and wife Rhonda, Independence; grandchildren, Chariti Farmer, Blue Springs, Ryan Braker, Kansas, Colton Higgins and wife Kathy, Lamar, Courtney Balke, Lee’s Summit, Jordan Dimond and Reed Norman, Lawrence, Alisha Miller, Independence, Kendall Morrow and wife Brook, Lamar and Adrian Dimond, Shawnee, Kan.; great-grandchildren, Emily, Riley, Keily, Adler, Melani, Zoee, Maliya, Calon and Charlotte, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Oglesby.
Mrs. Oglesby was born Sept. 10, 1941,in Grainola, Okla., to Clyde and Joan (Dalton) White. She married Chris Oglesby on Oct. 21, 1983. She was a phone operator at O’Sullivan Industries and later at Thorco Industries. She was a member of the Iantha Baptist Church.
She loved the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas Jayhawks and any sport her grandchildren were playing while watching with great enthusiasm. She loved each one of her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their friends. She did not know a stranger.
