RICHARDS- Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, Mo., for Clarence Schoneweather, Jr., 92, Richards, who died Friday, March 18, 2022, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. Pastor Wayne Lowry will officiate. Interment, with military honors, will be held in the National Cemetery at Ft. Scott, Kan.

Masonic services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, followed with a visitation at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Contributions may be made to Mirza Shrine, Ft. Scott, Unity Masonic Lodge No. 495, Richards or Greenwood Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife Nancy; three daughters, June Lowry and husband Wayne, Raymore, Sharon Duncan and Ed Barker, Nevada and Pam Richards and husband Ron, Joplin; six grandchildren, Michelle Wiedenmann and husband Jeff, Garden City, Melinda Morgan and husband Jon, Goddard, Kan., Melissa Wise and husband Chad, Ft. Scott, Kan., Travis Duncan and wife Brandy, Nevada, Meredith Anstine and husband Dusty, Chilhowee and Stephanie Lowry, Ankeny, Iowa; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, Dustin Wiedenmann and wife Rylee and son Beau, Peculiar, Jennifer Wiedenmann, Garden City, Kaylee and Tucker Duncan, Nevada, Derek, Taylor, Lauren and Cameron Morgan, Goddard, Kan. and Shelly, Lillian and Dorian Austin, Ankeny, Iowa.

Along with immediate family he is survived by three stepdaughters, Kathy Thompson and Jim Hill, Pittsburg, Kan., Linda Barker and husband Bill, Nevada and Molly Clark and husband Jim, Nevada; four step-grandchildren, Nathan Thompson and wife Terah, Overland Park, Kan., Holly Rodarmel, Nevada, Jesse Taylor, Nevada and Luke Clark and wife Kasha, Nevada; nine step great-grandchildren and five step great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Schoneweather was born July 20, 1929, in Nevada, Mo., to Clarence and Lula Leona (Wolfenbarger) Schoneweather. He married Norma Jean Lowry on June 28, 1947, in Ft. Scott, Kan. She preceded him in death on Dec. 5, 1996. He married Nancy Jenkins on March 26, 1998 in Laughlin, Nevada and she survives of the home.

He was a 1947 graduate of Walker High School and had lived in several places while serving his country in the Air Force from 1949 to 1971. After his Air Force retirement, he returned to the Richards area and worked for Garner Oil Company and farmed.

He was a member of the Richards Masonic Lodge for over 60 years, Fort Scott Shriners and Emery Coffee Club. He served as District Deputy Grand Lecturer 43rd District of Missouri and Grand Master Osage Lodge 303.
