Lamar Cruise Nights draws good sized crowd

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Lamar Cruise Night held its Friday, April 1 cruise on the Lamar square at 5 p.m. The weather was perfect and many took advantage of the opportunity to get out after such a long winter, as there was a large variety of vehicles to view. Patricia Nixon and Edith Todd cooked and served up over 60 servings of chili pie, along with a cookie and water and other drinks were available to those attending the cruise-in by visiting Daylight Donuts. The next cruise will be held Friday, May 6, 5 p.m., on the square. This will be the return of Route 66 Night. For more information visit their facebook page at Lamar Cruise Night.
