LIBERAL- Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar for Louise G Hopkins, 73, Liberal, who died Friday, May 13, 2022, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kan.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday, at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to the family, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include three daughters, Tina Borden and husband Bill, Mindenmines, Gena Sims and Ted Drake, Mulberry, Kan. and Meta Dizmang and husband Jessie, Kansas City, Kan.; six grandchildren, Alexandra Walker, Brooklyn Sims, Josh Gooding, Shelbe Borden, Desiraye Penney and Dexter Dizmang; one great-grandchild, Aiden Walker; one brother, Jim Weaver and wife Valerie, El Dorado Springs; four sisters, Sue Paige, Pittsburg, Kan., Joyce Caldwell and husband Earl, Nevada, Mo., Donna Beisley and husband Larry, Liberal and Barb King and husband Richard, Liberal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Penney; her parents and a brother, Sam Weaver.

Mrs. Hopkins was born Aug. 14, 1948, in Hannon, to Everett Lee Weaver and Naomi Rose (Mallory) Weaver. She was a 1966 graduate of Liberal High School.

Mrs. Hopkins retired from Miller's Professional Imaging as a pre-checker. She loved flowers, jigsaw puzzles, movies and her family and grandchildren.
