Despite the off and on again rain in days prior to the 2022 Lamar High School graduation ceremony, Sunday afternoon, May 22, turned out beautiful as the many graduates participated in commencement exercises. The graduation was held outside at the Thomas M. O’Sullivan Stadium, with Brayden Martin giving the valedictorian address and Jacob Morrison serving as salutatorian. A wide array of personalized caps were featured and at the end of the ceremony, 2022 LHS class officers provided the audience with some comic relief, as they sang a very interesting group singalong of the school song, led by Trace Willhite, president. Following the ceremony the students marched out on to the field as they made a circle in order to participate in the proverbial tossing of the caps, followed with a time to celebrate their accomplishments with family, friends and fellow students.
