It was a beautiful afternoon as Lamar High School held its 2022 commencement exercises on Sunday, May 22, at the Thomas M. O’Sullivan Stadium. Graduates made their entrance from the south side of the football field as they proceeded to their chairs. Many of their caps displayed their unique personalities and were extremely colorful to view. Following the valedictorian address, given by Brayden Martin, “A Million Dreams” was performed by Noah Harris and Leah McDonald, followed with the salutatorian address, given by Jacob Morrison. The presentation of diplomas were handed out, with school board member Joey Bronson receiving a hug from his daughter, Molly, as he presented her with her diploma. Presentation of the diplomas was followed by the recessional as students filed out onto the football field for the traditional tossing of their cap. This was followed by family, friends and fellow students coming out on to the field to extend their congratulations.
