Faith Family Fireworks 5 blesses community

Melody Metzger & Melissa Little/Lamar Democrat A large crowd enjoyed the Lamar First Baptist Church’s Faith – Family – Fireworks 5 show that has held Sunday, July 3. I Am They, an American contemporary Christian band from Carson City, Nevada was on hand to liven up the crowd as many enjoyed the music. Face painting was a big hit with a long line, along with those attending being treated to the Shiver Shack and Jacks’ Ice Cream. A car show, sponsored by O’Reilly Auto Parts, was set up on the front lawn of the church, with many enjoying the various vehicles. Hot dogs, chips and water were also served to those attending the show and Bingo was played, as well as the giving away of door prizes. The evening provided an enjoyable time for all ages and the community looks forward to its return next year.
