Golden Harvest Day began with Tractor-Rama

Photos courtesy of Greenfield Vedette/James McNary Plenty of classic and antique farm tractors in colors that aren’t “green and yellow” were on hand in Golden City this past weekend as part of the Tractor-Rama events held the first weekend of Golden Harvest Days, including a tractor pull. Rigs from gone-but-not-forgotten marques such as Allis-Chalmers, International Harvester, and Massey-Harris all took their turn to do their best at dragging the pulling sled a few hundred feet down the track, or bury their drive wheels, whichever happened first. Golden Harvest Days continues this weekend, Friday and Saturday, July 15-16, in Golden City, with activities on both days.
