On Thursday, July 14, the Lamar Police Department hosted a training class from the Missouri State Crime Labs. Agencies from the surrounding communities were invited to the seminar for fingerprint and DNA collection. The seminar took place at Thiebaud Auditorium and another class will also be held there next Thursday, July 21. Those participating in the seminar took their lunch break at the Barton County Memorial Park, where they were treated to Mother Tucker’s pizza and checked out the tank on the park grounds. Lamar Police Chief Joe Moore stated, “I would like to thank the Barton County Memorial Park for their contribution of pizza; it was very appreciated.”
