Many took a break and escaped to Golden Harvest Days

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger The theme for this year’s Golden Harvest Days was, “Take a Break, Escape to Golden Harvest Days.” While the Tractor-Rama was held July 9, the bulk of the festival’s events were held the weekend of July 15 and 16, complete with food of all types, contests, various games and a cake walk, kids games and bounce houses, musical entertainment, parades, tournaments, a baby show and car cruise-in and the ever popular homemade ice cream served by the Golden City Fire Department. It was a weekend packed full of family, friends and fun. The Lamar Democrat will be publishing more information regarding the event, along with several pictures, in upcoming issues.
